Reshape is a six week course in therapeutic art designed to enable participants to explore their experiences of living through the pandemic creatively and with the aim to improve their wellbeing. The sessions include simple art process, meditations, breathing and other embodied techniques, and an opportunity to talk through thoughts and concerns that such activities might raise. We look at the poetry of the Psalms to help us understand that it is acceptable to express and understand our own feelings, whatever they might be, and that it is possible, sometimes with help, for us to work through these emotions in a way that promotes personal growth. We believe that art practices enable individuals and groups to explore those feelings and thoughts that otherwise are often difficult to put into words, offering a different language and means to understanding such issues.

We are currently running this programme for the Growing Rooms Project as part of the work of St George's Crypt, Leeds and have been funded by Leeds Community Foundation.
